DivaDarlingChic

This is Ben Green, the Style savvy transgender beauty guru that you would have seen grow up if you frequent the YouTube beauty guru world. On YouTube he's been known as DivaDarlingChic for the last 2 years as his fan base and number of subscribers has grown to about 67,000 while he's had over 8 million video views in total. Ben's videos consist mostly of makeup hauls and tutorials. He throws in the occasional nail and hair video but for the most part Ben's specialty is make up. His HD camera gives his videos a fantastic professional touch which is personally something that I love to see. When gurus invest in good HD cameras it makes their videos so much more pleasant to watch because we can see all the details of all the tutorials. The video above is a haul from Ben's trip to LA IMATS. A haul is when a guru goes shopping and shows you everything they bought. IMATS stands for international make up artist trade show. Make up companies can go and display their new items or items that they're about to launch and they sell them at discounted prices because most of the people that go to IMATS are make up artists or aspiring makeup artists looking to buy make up in bulk or staple pieces to build their train case. It happens twice a year once in LA and once in NYC and Ben goes to both each year. This is year he got a lot of different things at IMATS, I'm mostly interested in that new sigma palette that he talks about toward the end and I can NOT wait to get it when it comes out in March. One day I also hope to go to LA IMATS. fashion blog:http://xoxobengreen.webs.com

Glamtwinz334

This is Kelsey and Kendra, otherwise known as Glamtwinz334 in the YouTube beauty world . These two have been my hair and makeup inspirations for the past 2 years. The twins joined YouTube in 2009 but didn't start posting videos as Gurus until 2 years ago. The twins have 95,000 subscribers and 6.5 million channel views. I found their channel in the beginning and have been a subscriber for a very long time. The twins make a lot of my favorite kinds of videos which are mainly, hair and skincare routines. I have a similar skin type to theirs so I love watching their skin care regimens. In the above video which they posted yesterday, it is their most recent. They talk about their skincare routines. This was a long awaited video amongst the glamtwinz subscribers. They also put up hauls from stores that I always shop at, they're bargain hunting frequenters of forever 21, marshall's, and TJ Maxx. I LOVE every second of their haul videos because they keep it one hundred percent real when it comes to prices and bargains. The twins also have a large fan base because of their hair. Their hair is very long and healthy and they don't hesitate to make videos for people who ask questions about their hair products and their routines for straightening and curling. The twins are both in beauty school because they are training to be make up artists. They're both very talented with make up already and we see that in their makeup tutorials. You can expect a new video from the twins once every other week.

Eleventhgorgeous

This post is a bit of a two for one type deal, I also have another set of gurus coming up similar to these two. This is Stefanie and Tracy of Eleventhgorgeous on YouTube, they are part of a small but growing group of twin youtube beauty gurus. Their bubbly personalities and abundance of videos is what has caused them to be some of my favorite gurus. They have 257,650 subscribers and almost 25 million channel views. They are a somewhat recent find. I subscribed to them in early January when I stumbled across a makeup video of theirs. Tracy and Stefanie both share taste in clothing similar to mine which is why I absolutely LOVE watching their "haul" videos. A "haul" is when a beauty guru or in eleventhgorgeous's case a pair of gurus go shopping and they come back and share what they've bought. Another reason why I am absolutely in love with eleventhgorgeous's videos is because they make a lot of videos about nail polish and they even have their own blog dedicated to nail polish. I have always loved nail polish and new color and nail trends. I'm always looking to try new brands of it as well. So, when I stumbled upon Tracy and Stefanie and saw that they share a love for nail polish as well I was hooked. The above video that I posted is of Tracy and Stefanie is from their "end of the year" series and in it they're talking about their favorite nail polish colors of last year. beauty&fashion blog:http://www.eleventhgorgeous.com nail polish blog:http://www.egnailsit.com t-shirt store: http://www.districtlines.com/eleventh-gorgeous

DulceCandy87

I know I am going out of order but this is my absolute favorite beauty guru of all time. Her name is Dulce and she's a mom in her mid twenties living in southern California who loves fashion. Dulce on YouTube is DulceCandy87 and she started making videos about 3 years ago. Dulce is among the more popular gurus on YouTube, she has managed to collect 849,256 subscribers and get over 150 million channel views. I've been subscribed to Dulce for a little bit less than a year and in the time she has convinced me that she is just the ultimate style goddess. Every single video that Dulce uploads I go and watch. There hasn't been one video that has disappointed me. My favorite videos of hers are her "get ready with me" and her "collection" videos. A "get ready with me" is basically what it sounds like, they film themselves doing their hair and make up so you get to see what they're using for their finished look. Then they get dressed (off camera of course) and come back and show you everything put together. I enjoy watching these types of videos because its fun to see the transformation that some girls go through when they put on make up and do their hair and get out their nice clothes to go somewhere. As you might have guessed, the "get ready with me" videos are categorized by occasion. The titles might say "Get ready with me: Shopping" or "Get ready with me: Dinner with friends". They're fun to watch and I'd recommend them to any girls just starting off on youtube that want to gain subscribers. A lot of people including myself LOVE them. Above, I've uploaded a "collection" video of Dulce's and in this video she's going through and explaining her make up collection, she tells you whats in it, where the make up is from and how she's storing it. The "collection" videos on YouTube always get mixed reviews. Some people see the videos as bragging about having money and being able to afford nice things. I don't see the videos in that way, I love watching them because I can't afford tons of makeup so its nice to see all the different brands and things that people have. Dulce has her own blog and online store that I have yet to shop on but hope to in the future. her fashion blog: http://dulcecandy.com her online store: http://dulcecandyxo.com

Leighannsays

This is Leigh Ann who runs the YouTube channel leighannsays. She is what many in the YouTube community would call a beauty guru. She is number 5 on my list of my all time favorite gurus. In the YouTube world a beauty guru is someone that does videos on fashion, hair, make up or anything in that area that also has a lot of subscribers. Leigh Ann started making videos 2 years ago on YouTube and in that time span has managed to gain 169,008 subscribers. She has so many subscribers because her warm personality is very inviting and she also is very good about not forgetting to upload videos on the days she said she would. A lot of the subscribers that regularly look for videos from the people they are subscribed to tend to get annoyed when beauty gurus rarely upload videos or say they'll upload them and forget to do it. Leigh Ann has always been very good about not doing this. I have been subscribed to Leigh Ann for a few months now and she has quickly risen to the top of my list of favorites. We have similar taste in clothing so I enjoy watching her "haul" videos. A haul is when a beauty guru or anyone goes shopping and then films the things they bought and tells you where you can get it and how much they paid for it an everything. These are among my favorite types of videos because you get to see different peoples style and choices of clothing and it can give you ideas for potential outfits. Above I've posted a vide of Leigh Ann doing a haul from forever 21, a common store that a lot of young women shop at.
